Agricultural Revival Strategy
Agricultural policies should aim to restore pre-2000 production levels, create employment for the many workers who lost their
jobs, and enhance the productivity of the agriculture sector as a whole, assuring its contribution to the national fiscus, export
revenues and food self-sufficiency. Agriculture needs to resume its role as an anchor of economic and social development in
Zimbabwe.

Philosophy
The Past
When Cecil John Rhodes and the Pioneer Column apportioned plots of land to members of the British South Africa Company
and  their  associates cronies, the Zimbabwe land problems began. It is now time to  bring closure to this contentious issue by
embarking on a sustainable agrarian reform programme that is transparent and yet ensures food security for the nation.

Justice
All citizens of Zimbabwe are entitled to own property in the form of land. Certain citizens where unfairly targeted in an unfair
manner  and had their land misappropriated.

Reconciliation
For the sake of Zimbabwe’s livelihood we need to compensate all those whose properties were taken from them and invite every
citizen to participate in a new agrarian reform programme.

New Farmer Selection
Only Zimbabweans with a tangible commitment to land use and  land husbandry  must be considered  for allocations of land
for farming. All persons need to demonstrate their experience and prove their agricultural skills before they can be allocated land.

The rule of law
Good governance means the full adherence to accepted norms of human and political rights, respect for the rule of law and the
independence of the judiciary, as well as the application of fundamental economic principles in the way countries are managed.
Agricultural recovery must be founded on an unequivocal return to the rule of law and adherence to the fundamental human
and legal rights enshrined in the Constitution.

The Constitution
The Constitution’s Declaration of Rights entitles every person in Zimbabwe to certain fundamental rights – whatever his political
opinions, creed or gender race – to life, liberty, security of the person and the protection of the law; to the freedom of
conscience,  of expression and of assembly and association; and to protection for the privacy of his home and other property.
The property rights of all citizens must be respected. The restoration of the rule of law means a return to constitutionality;
rescinding laws that deny citizens their human rights; abiding by ruling of competent courts; enforcing the law without fear or
favour; and affording protection to every person and their property from compulsory acquisition without proper compensation.
No agricultural land to be classified on the basis of race, once historical imbalances to land have been addressed, no rights to
land should be based on race.
